WHAT YOU NEED TO INSTALL YOUR SLIDEDECK SLIDING TERRACE

Installing a mobile terrace for a swimming pool - or spa - is not complicated in itself, but requires a little preparation to ensure it blends in perfectly with the garden.

You need sufficient space

It is essential to have enough space to allow the SlideDeck mobile terrace to move smoothly. Ideally, you'll need a surface area the same size as your pool, on the side of the pool.

on a sloping site?

The available space must be in the same plane as the pool, with no unevenness. If the ground is on a slope, you will need to create reinforced concrete stringers to form the tracks on which your mobile terrace can travel.

Are there coping stones around the pool?

If you have reconstituted stone or flagstone coping, this information needs to be fairly precise to ensure a perfect fit. If you have sloping reconstituted stone coping, it will probably be preferable to position the runway beyond the coping.

Which type of pool is best suited to a mobile terrace?

The SlideDeck mobile deck is suitable for all types of pool. Typically, the mobile deck is best suited to small and medium-sized pools. For larger pools, such as swim lanes, we can offer you a mobile deck that moves lengthways, which requires a lot of space on the side of the pool, or our special large deck. Please contact us for more information.

Consider a movable terrace when renovating your pool!

Incorporating a movable terrace when renovating a swimming pool can be particularly judicious. Renovation offers the opportunity to completely rethink the space around the pool as the seasons change, making the mobile terrace a clever addition in this context.

SlideDeck motorisation

The SlideDeck mobile terrace is available with or without motorisation, depending on our customers' preferences and needs.

You don't need a motor for the small mobile terraces in the TERRA range. These are relatively light mobile terraces, so it's fairly easy to move them with a simple push of the hand or foot. For the ATLAS range of mobile terraces, we strongly recommend that you install a motor, as the mobile terrace will be heavier and will require more effort to move. Our motors are remote-controlled, and are powered by an autonomous battery, itself recharged by a set of photovoltaic cells built into the motor. So there's no need for a power supply near the pool.
